Will the REAL Customer please stand up? Over the five plus years we’ve been doing Corporate Catering we’ve learned something really important that is fundamental to the way we do business: We understand completely that you, NOT the folks for which you’re providing food, are our real Customer. I think this is a truly unique point of view and different than most caterers. They think, “Hey, we have really good food” and then all the rest of the services they provide are just necessary evils. These caterers think that their Customer is the person that eats the food. At Gourmet FoodWorks we start from the thought that YOU, the person that places the order, are our Customer. It’s our job to make your job easier and make you look really good and, if we focus on doing that, then we’ll be in great shape. If you are happy then we are happy (‘cause you’ll call us again and again!). Many caterers and pseudo-caterers have it in their heads that as long as they make good (or even excellent) food then that is enough to be a Corporate Caterer. While we know that food quality is an extremely important part of the mix, it is truly you, the person that orders the food that is our real Customer.
